Technical and operational support for the implementation of the vector-borne disease control (VBD) programmes or activities
VBD control programme review
Technical support for the WHO (pre-)certification for elimination of malaria, leishmaniasis and filariasis
Entomological surveillance, and national vector control needs assessment (VCNA)
Development of a national integrated vector management (IVM) plan or strategy
Implementation assessment of core interventions (ITNs, IRS, LSM, space spray)
Assessment of public health pesticide management
Monitoring and evaluation
Research and development, including the development of test protocols and laboratory and field evaluation of vector control products
Development of guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for vector control and programme implementation
Capacity building, particularly on entomological surveillance across diseases, integrated vector management, insecticide resistance monitoring, indoor residual spraying, entomology laboratory capacity strengthening, public health pesticide management in the practice of vector control and development of training materials.
